Ski and Skijor Lessons
For the human,
I offer private ski lessons to individuals looking to get started cross-country skiing with their dog. I also offer ski lessons to individuals who have a dog to ski with, but first want help learning to ski before they hook up the dog.
For the dog,
I also offer alaskan husky training sessions for individuals who want to have their dog assessed and trained to skijor, yet are still not comfortable hooking up to their dog.

Dog assessments

Alaskan huskys are the pulling dogs of the north. Yet, they are not the only breed of dogs willing to pull. Many other breeds such as collies, labs, retreivers, pointers will pull (sometimes only for limited miles or limited time).

I condition and train alaskan huskies so they are ready for ski adventures and know what to expect.
I also work with other dog breeds to explore if they have a desire in pulling, and help encourage that behavior.
I first perform an initial assessment on all dogs with their owners present to confirm that their health and behavior is suitable for exercise and to be around my dogs
